Despite earlier speculation, John Cena’s FOX reality show American Grit has not wrapped filming. The Dispatch reports that the series will now finish filming until December 16th, with a premiere date scheduled for this coming spring for ten episodes.
For those who were wondering otherwise, it means Cena isn’t likely to appear at TLC on December 13th, which is in his hometown of Boston.
As previously reported, the show will feature sixteen men and women split into four teams, with representatives from the US military serving as mentors. The contestants will compete in physical challenges. Each episode will feature an obstacle course, called “The Circus”, which will be used to eliminate the weakest team.
The winning team has to win a $1 million prize.
