WWE Studios has applied for a trademark for “Gorgeous George” which suggests that they are moving ahead with their planned film on the Hall of Famer’s life. The trademark is described as for “Entertainment services, namely, the production and distribution of motion pictures.” WWE has owned George’s life story rights for a while now and has had Josh Gad attached to write the script.
The company also applied for a trademark on the name “Clear Water Pictures,” described as a company for “the production and distribution of faith-based motion pictures and programs.” WWE Studios picked up the distribution rights to faith-based drama The Resurrection Of Gavin Stone, in which Shawn Michaels appears, in July.
