Jerry Lawler found out that tweeting your political endorsement can be a dangerous game. Lawler spoke with WMC-TV in Memphis and said that he has received death threats over stumping for Donald Trump in a post he made to Twitter:
Supporting @realDonaldTrump like I do is great. Getting out to vote for him even better! Vote today NH! #FITN #TrumpTrain
— Jerry Lawler (@JerryLawler) February 9, 2016
Lawler told the outlet that he doesn’t think posting the message was a good idea in retrospect and that he will now be staying out of politics.
