ORIGINAL: According to TMZ, WWE’s Adam Rose (Ray Leppan) appeared in court on Thursday morning. Rose was arrested on Wednesday on charges of tampering with a witness and battery domestic violence. He was suspended indefinitely by WWE.
During the hearing, the judge wanted to issue a restraining order against Leppan, barring him from contact with his wife. It was also revealed that the couple had a previous domestic issue in March of 2016, and that the judge was concerned about a pattern of abusive behavior. Leppan’s wife begged the judge to reconsider, noting that she needed him to be home to help with the care of their special needs child. Rose’s lawyer also argued Leppan’s actions were “not aggressive or painful” but rather “more of a passionate, ‘Hey, let’s talk about this.’”
No restraining order was issued, and bond was set at $1,000. Leppan is expected to be out later today, and has been ordered to see his pastor for counseling once a week until his next court date in June.
