TNA is about to have another owner in the mix. PWInsider reports that multiple sources both within and outside of the company are sating that Corgan is set to buy a minority stake in the company. Two sources claim that the deal is complete while a third says that things are moving in that direction but is not 100% finished yet.
Corgan, best known as the frontman of Smashing Pumpkins, began working with TNA in April of 2015 as a Senior Producer of Creative and Talent Development. He is a longtime wrestling fan who did creative work for Revolution Pro and has been involved in TNA both on camera and behind the scenes since coming on board.
Dixie Carter will remain the majority owver of the company and there’s no confirmation on how much of TNA Corgan will own. John Gaburick has said for a while now that TNA was seeking “strategic partners and investors.”
