WWE Issues Cease & Desist Letters To Several Independent Promotions – Details

WWE’s legal team has sent several cease and desist letters to independent wrestling promotions. The letters claim that the promotions are using WWE-owned photographs as advertising material on posters or online media to promote former WWE talents that are scheduled for independent dates.

Since most of the promoters were sent letters on the same day, it’s likely a plan to hit them all at once. WWE is within their rights to demand the photos not be used, as they’d own any professional shots by their photographers.
