Jeff Jarrett had a meeting with a “high ranking executive” from Spike TV on Saturday about possibly bringing Impact Wrestling back to Spike, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet.
Spike executive Scott Fishman was backstage before Saturday’s Impact taping and met with Jarrett about “various topics.” Fishman was apparently “instrumental” in developing Impact Wrestling in its early days, so there’s a history there.
Impact just recently announced a new deal with Spike TV in the UK, which will bring weekly Impact shows every Friday starting in April.
Impact’s current Pop TV contract expires at the end of this year.
It was also just announced last month that Spike will be rebranded in early 2018 as the “Paramount Network.”
