Nikki Bella posted two videos on her YouTube channel where she first revealed that she had a “severe sprain” in her neck and was getting X-rays. Later, she gave an update that she has a “slight herniation” above where she had surgery but she is cleared for WrestleMania.
“I just got to Tampa General Hospital. I, unfortunately, last week injured my neck a bit. I got a severe sprain. That’s why Virginia didn’t see me on the live events this past weekend. But I’m here to get some more X-rays. I had some done last Wednesday and now I’m going to get some done this Wednesday. So let’s pray for some good news.”
“Good news. Good and bad news from the doc. I have a slight herniation above where I had surgery but I am cleared for WrestleMania. I’m very excited about that. It’s been a tough week.”
Will She Be Back After WrestleMania?
With Nikki Bella’s surgically repaired neck giving her problems, the original expectation was that she may take some extended time off after her WrestleMania match or even possibly retire altogether.
However, she is currently being advertised for the Money in the Bank PPV on June 18 as well as other post-WrestleMania live events, so that could mean that she was planning on sticking around. That was before this most recent injury, though, so we’ll see what happens.
John Cena is expected to take time off after WrestleMania to film a movie. The obvious expectation for the WrestleMania match is that John Cena will propose to Nikki after the match.
