Shelton Benjamin tweeted that he is finally cleared to return from a torn rotator cuff injury that required surgery in August.
After 9 of the hardest months of my life, I'm happy to announce I have been OFFICIALLY CLEARED to return to action. Effective Immediately!

Benjamin signed with WWE and was set to return to SmackDown after the brand split in July, but while undergoing testing with WWE, it was discovered that he had a torn rotator cuff that would require surgery. However, it seems like WWE has told him that they do still want him back, so he is expected to return. He tweeted shortly after the injury back in August:
Thank you @WWE for helping me discover this situation & for giving me an opportunity to return. I will be back
