WWE is currently planning on including the first ever women’s Money in the Bank match for next month’s Smackdown exclusive Money in the Bank pay-per-view, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet.
Pro Wrestling Sheet reported plans are still in an early stage in regards to possible participants and if any special stipulations might be added.
If the match does occur, it would continue the trend since last April’s debut of the new Women’s Championship, now called WWE RAW Women’s Championship, of the WWE giving more focus towards their women’s divisions. Last year saw the first time ever the women’s division had a Hell in a Cell match and also main event a WWE pay-per-view. This year also saw the push for Smackdown’s Women’s Championship to be included on Wrestlemania 33’s main card with the #givesdwomenachance movement on Twitter.
