Hideo Itami’s future in WWE could be in doubt based on yesterday’s NXT media call held by Triple H.
The topic arose from a question asked by PWInsider’s Mike Johnson about Hideo Itami’s status in WWE if his upcoming NXT Championship match against Bobby Roode at NXT Takeover: Chicago failed to meet expectations. Triple H stated he wasn’t sure what would happen next but did reveal a decision regarding Itami’s future would likely be discussed.
Triple H acknowledged Itami has faced several big setbacks during his time at NXT but praised him as someone who works hard and still believes he has the potential to be a big star in WWE. He did state any decision about Itami’s future would involve Itami himself. If Itami decided on staying or wanted to move on, WWE would likely follow the same for their decision.
