Tye Dillinger hit the Tye Breaker for the win after English missed a senton off the top rope.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Dolph Ziggler is out first to kick off the show. We hear from Tom Phillips, JBL and Byron Saxton at ringside. We then hear from other commentary teams in the arena tonight. Ziggler goes for a single leg early. Nakamura stuffs it. Nakamura trips up Ziggler and Ziggler avoids a big kick to the face. Ziggler slaps the face of Nakamura in the corner after the referee broke up a lock up. Ziggler with a tie up pinfall for a two count. Nakamura with an impressive series of counters to get out of Ziggler working over his arm. Nakamura with a big knee to the gut of Ziggler and follows up with a knee drop. Ziggler with a nasty neckbreaker on Nakamura from against the ropes. Ziggler with a headlock to keep Nakamura grounded. Ziggler catches Nakamura with a big dropkick. Ziggler with a quick jumping elbow that connects over the chest of Nakamura. Nakamura with a knee and spin kick that catches Ziggler on the head. Nakamura with quick body shots and drops Ziggler with a series of kicks. Nakamura with a shot to Ziggler in the corner, drapes Ziggler over the top rope and connects with a big knee. Nakamura catches Ziggler in a modified triangle/armbar. Ziggler breaks it up getting to the ropes. Ziggler catches Nakamura with a spike DDT. Ziggler catches Nakamura with a Fameasser and gets a close two count. Ziggler is calling for the superkick in the corner. Nakamura avoids it, but Ziggler catches him with the Zig Zag. Nakamura kicks out. Ziggler can’t believe it. Nakamura catches Ziggler with an axe kick. Ziggler counters a back body drop, lands on his feet and superkicks Nakamura in the neck. Ziggler covers Nakamura and Nakamura somehow gets a shoulder up. Ziggler spits in the face of Nakamura. Nakamura with a big right, kick to the face, stuffs a takedown attempt by Ziggler and starts throwing big knees to the body. Nakamura with a big knee to the side of Ziggler’s face on the ring apron. Nakamura with an elbow and this time connects with his over the head exploder. Nakamura with his Kinshasa knee for the win.

Segment: The Fashion Files

The “Fashion Files” segment with Breezango from last week’s SmackDown Live airs.


WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship
The Usos (c’s) vs. Breezango

We start with Fandango and Jimmy Uso. Fandango with a head scissors takedown early and then shakes his hips. Tag to Tyler Breeze who is wearing a mustache, bald cap, glasses and janitor outfit that he wore in the Fashion Files segment. Jimmy charges and Breeze avoids it. Breeze puts his mop in the face of Jimmy and Jey gets the tag. Jey with a big shot on Breeze and then cracks the mop over his knee. Jey is trying to hit a splash off two corners and Breeze keeps rolling slowly away. Breeze catches Jey with a jumping kick to the head. Tag to Fandango who connects with a shot over the top rope. Jey with a cheap shot on Breeze and tags in Jimmy. Jimmy with chops to Fandango. Fandango works over the left arm of Jimmy. Breeze is now back up in the corner dressed like an old lady in a dress. Breeze gets the tag. A loud “LET’S GO GRANDMA” chant breaks out in Chicago. Jimmy kicks away the cane and Breeze with a dropkick. Breeze with more dropkicks to Jey and Jimmy. Breeze with a Bronco Buster in the corner. Jey comes flying back with two big dropkicks. Jimmy gets the tag and splashes Breeze in the corner. Jimmy tosses the dress out and it hits JBL. They show a replay of this. Tags to Fandango and Jey. Fandango catches Jey with a spin kick. Fandango with chops to Jey in the corner. Fandango with a corner DDT on Jey. Jey kicks out. Tag to Jimmy. Jey with a backbreaker on Breeze and Jimmy comes off the top. Breeze kicks out. Jey tags himself back in and accidentally superkicks Jimmy. Breeze with an inverted DDT on Jey and Jey kicks out. Breeze is shocked. Usos dump Breeze into the barricade at ringside. Fandango flips over the top rope and takes out both Usos! Jey catches Fandango with a superkick up on the top turnbuckle when Jimmy trips him up. The Usos pick up the win.

Sami Zayn vs. Baron Corbin

Corbin with a big knee early to Zayn. Zayn with a quick twisting takedown on Corbin. Zayn tries to flip out, but counters, flips off the rope and back inside the ring. Corbin claps sarcastically at Zayn. Zayn catches Corbin with a dropkick sending him out of the ring. On the outside, Corbin irish whips Zayn to the barricade and Zayn catches him with a springboard moonsault off the barricade! Back inside, Corbin launches Zayn to the corner. Corbin catches Zayn in a bear hug. Zayn breaks free, but Corbin catches him with another bear hug. Zayn pulls down the top rope and Corbin goes flying over. Corbin plants Zayn with a big spinebuster and gets a two count. Zayn with big clotheslines to Corbin. Zayn with an elbow, boot and catches Corbin with a cross body for another two count. Corbin slides out near the corner and drops Zayn with a quick clothesline. Corbin goes to work on the lower back of Zayn. Corbin catches Zayn with a big backbreaker over his knee and Zayn kicks out. Zayn fights off Corbin up on the top turnbuckle and connects with a sunset flip powerbomb for another close two count. Corbin counters a corner DDT attempt. Corbin also avoids an exploder in the corner. Zayn wraps up Corbin in a Crucifix pinfall attempt. Corbin kicks out and then catches Zayn with Deep Six. Corbin throws big elbows and stomps to Zayn. Zayn catches Corbin with a boot and then a Helluva Kick in the corner! Zayn gets the win!

Backstage: Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers

Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers are shown arriving backstage. Mahal says Chicago and America is full of haters. He says the fans hate him for the way he looks and the way he talks. Mahal is going to take all the hate and turn it into something positive.


Naomi, Charlotte and Becky Lynch vs. Natalya, Carmella and Tamina

James Ellsworth is out to introduce Carmella. We start with Becky Lynch and Tamina. Tamina pushes Becky down early. Tamina with a headbutt and tag to Natalya. Tag to Charlotte who worked over the left arm of Natalya. Charlotte with chops to Natalya. Charlotte drops a knee over Natalya. Natalya clotheslines Charlotte over the ring apron. Tamina tags herself in, gets in a few kicks and tags in Carmella who does the same. Natalya gets the tag and also stomps away. Tag to Tamina who throws kicks at Charlotte and tags in Carmella. Carmella drops elbows and gets Charlotte in a headlock. Charlotte with an elbow to Carmella and tags in Naomi who launches in with a cross body. Naomi with repeated kicks to the body of Carmella followed up with a kick to the face. Naomi with a corner dropkick to Carmella. Naomi with a kick to Tamina. Carmella chops the leg of Naomi. Carmella with a Bronco Buster to Naomi in the corner. Tag to Tamina who throws a right at Naomi. Tamina levels Naomi with a big clothesline and tags Carmella back in. Quick tag to Natalya who launches Carmella into the corner. Carmella misses. Naomi knocks Charlotte off the corner. Tamina tags herself in. Carmella pulls Becky off the corner to avoid a hot tag. Samoan drop by Tamina on Naomi. Natalya gets the tag. Naomi with a modified huricanrana on Natlaya. Hot tag to Becky. Becky with clotheslines and a side kick to Natalya. Becky with an exploder and jumping right to Natalya. Becky kicks Tamina away. Natalya has Becky setup for a Sharpshooter. Becky counters into the armbar. Carmella breaks it up. Charlotte throws Carmella out. Tamina with a superkick to Charlotte. Tamina headbutts Naomi. Becky levels Tamina. Natalya gets the Sharpshooter. Becky taps.

WWE United States Championship
Kevin Owens (c) vs. AJ Styles

As soon as the bell rang, both Owens and Styles started exchanging shots. Styles with an early roll up attempt on Owens. Owens avoids an early dropkick attempt by Styles. Owens with a kick, stomps and chops to Styles. Owens avoids the dropkick again by Styles hanging onto the ropes. Owens hits the ropes and this time Styles connects with the dropkick. Owens and Styles exchange stiff right hands. Owens levels Styles with a big clothesline. Owens with a quick DDT and then connects with three big senton splashes over Styles. Styles catches Owens with a kick to the head. Styles with a series of quick strikes and a clothesline. Styles hits the ropes and connects with a jumping forearm to Owens. Styles with a corner clothesline and then a lifting facebuster for a two count. Styles drops Owens over his knee off his shoulders and gets another close two count. Owens catches Styles with a superkick and connects with a nasty neckbreaker driver for a two count on Styles! Styles attempts a Styles Clash on the ring apron, but Owens counters, throws the leg of Styles against the steel ring post and then into the steel ring steps. Back inside, Owens connects with his cannonball to Styles in the corner. Owens wraps up the right leg of Styles in the corner and hits another cannonball. Owens applies a single leg Boston Crab on Styles. Owens transitions to an ankle lock. Styles is screaming in pain. Styles gets to the bottom rope. Styles with a sunset flip powerbomb counter on Owens off the corner! Owens landed with a thud. Styles’ bad leg gives out when he attempts his springboard forearm. Owens with a double arm DDT and Styles kicks out. Owens with slaps to Styles. Styles with a Pele Kick. Owens with a cradle neckbreaker on Styles off the corner! Styles kicks out. Styles with a nasty looking suplex over the ring apron on Owens. Owens dumps Styles over the time keepers barricade area. Styles with a flying forearm taking out Owens at ringside. A limping Styles gets up on one of the announcer tables, the referee is starting the count, Owens counters and Styles’ leg falls through a hole in the table. Owens rolls in. Styles’ leg is caught. The referee gets to 10.

Winner via count out and still WWE United States Champion: Kevin Owens

After the match, Kevin Owens jumps out and hits AJ Styles with a quick superkick. Owens clutches the United States Championship and heads to the back.


Luke Harper vs. Erick Rowan

Rowan with elbows and chops to Harper early in the corner. Harper responds with chops of his own. Rowan drops Harper off the corner and Harper hits the steel steps face first. Rowan with a shot to Harper through the ropes sending Harper into the ring barricade. Rowan again sends Harper into the barricade at ringside and then throws him back inside the ring. Rowan with a splash over Harper for a two count. Rowan with more chops to Harper. Rowan catches Harper with a quick dropkick for another two count. Rowan with repeated scoop slams on Harper. Rowan with a pump handle slam into a backbreaker, lifts Harper up and connects with a big clothesline. Rowan misses a splash on Harper off the top rope. On the outside, Harper catches Rowan with an elbow and throws him face first off two of the announce tables. Harper with a dive through the ropes catching Rowan. Back inside, Harper catches Rowan with a big boot. Harper catches Rowan with a side slam for a two count. Rowan with an elbow and spin kick combo. Rowan with a big powerbomb on Harper. Harper with big chops. Harper avoids another powerbomb attempt with a counter. Harper catches Rowan with a superkick. Harper with a second superkick. Harper with a clothesline thrust to Rowan for the win.

WWE Championship
Randy Orton (c) vs. Jinder Mahal

The Singh Brothers have joined Mahal tonight at ringside.

During the ring introductions, Orton attacked Mahal as the ring announcer was introducing him as the reigning and defending WWE Champion. JBL says the match has yet to officially begin. Orton chases off The Singh Brothers and continues to attack Mahal at ringside. Orton tosses Mahal back in the ring and the referee asks him if he wants to continue. Mahal eventually recovers and gives the referee the nod to ring the bell.

The bell rings and here we go. Mahal avoids an early RKO and rolls out. Orton with a clothesline to Mahal on the outside. Mahal sends Orton into the side of the ring hitting his left shoulder. Mahal gets Orton back in and works over his left arm. A loud “LET’S GO JINDER/JINDER SUCKS” chant starts up. Orton breaks free and starts stomping away. Orton with repeated uppercuts to Mahal. Mahal goes back to work on the arm of Orton and then drops a quick knee off the ropes. Orton tosses Mahal over the top rope and then dumps him over the middle announce table at ringside! Back inside, Mahal recovers and goes back to work on the left arm/shoulder of Orton. Mahal hits the corner steel ring post with force when Orton moves out of the way. Orton crotches Mahal up on the top turnbuckle. Orton with a superplex to Mahal off the top. Orton with a snap powerslam on Mahal. Orton with a modified fallaway slam. Orton with his side backbreaker as Mahal rolls to the ring apron. Orton with his DDT off the ropes on Mahal. Orton is slapping his shoulder to fire himself up. Orton is ready for an RKO when Mahal rolls out. Orton rolls out and gets behind The Singh Brothers at ringside. Orton slaps one and tosses them both into the barricade and ring. Mahal sends Orton shoulder first into the steel ring post twice at ringside. Mahal tosses Orton back inside. RKO out of no where! The Singh Brothers pull Mahal out of the ring in front of the referee. Orton tosses one brother over the table and back suplexes another over the table. Orton with another back suplex and one of the Singh Brothers lands hard! Orton brings one of the brothers to the ring, the other follows and Orton hits a double DDT off the ropes. Back inside, Mahal with his Cobra Clutch slam on Orton. Mahal pins Orton! Mahal wins!

Winner and new WWE Champion: Jinder Mahal

After the match, Jinder Mahal grabs the WWE Championship and holds it up high on the corner. JBL had to repeat it on commentary that Jinder Mahal was the new champion. Mahal leaves the ring, walks in the crowd and stands up again holding up the title. Big reaction from the crowd in Chicago with many fans in complete disbelief.
