Jim Ross announced today on his official blog that WWE has chosen him and Nigel McGuinness to be the official commentators for the upcoming weekly WWE UK TV show. Ross will be the play-by-play commentator and McGuinness will be the color commentator.
The first set of episodes were taped over the past weekend with the debut episode currently planned to air later this month. Triple H confirmed the plans of a late May debut on Twitter. Similar to NXT, each episode is expected to be about an hour long and be exclusive to the WWE Network.
Jim Ross also announced these UK episodes will not interfere with his current commitments for AXS TV and New Japan Pro Wrestling’s weekly wrestling TV show.
