There has been lots of recent talk within WWE about a possible return for Hulk Hogan, according to this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Talks have been periodical since Hogan’s firing and the belief within the company is that his return is just a matter of time. WWE is still waiting for the ideal time to bring him back that wouldn’t result in negative backlash for the company. If Hogan is brought on as an “ambassador” for the company, doing media appearances to promote WWE, the fear is that he would have to defend himself about his past.
Hogan was fired from his Legends contract by WWE in 2015 after the infamous “Bubba the Love Sponge” tape was leaked, which contained Hogan making racist comments.
