Paige and Alberto on Paige’s WWE Return, GFW Suspension, Airport Incident

Paige and Alberto El Patron were interviewed today on SiriusXM Busted Open Radio, hosted by Bully Ray and Dave Lagreca.

They were asked about the airport incident and basically said that it was blown out of proportion by the internet, and like all couples, they sometimes fight, but admitted that it was probably not a good idea to get into a fight in public. Alberto said that sometimes they have big fights and say they never want to see each other again, then are “fine” two minutes later.

Paige’s Return

Paige mentioned that she had a CT scan today and will do her last checkup on Monday, and that she “can’t wait” to get back to the ring, but also noted that she doesn’t really know when she’ll be back.

“I just had my CT scan today and I get to do my last checkup on Monday. Hopefully I’ll be back sooner rather than later, but I don’t know at this point. I can’t wait to get back to work. It’s been since October 19, so it’s been a while. I want to be wrestling again. It feels so weird not wrestling for so long. I got to travel a bit with Alberto but it’s not the same when you’re not in the ring yourself, so I’m excited to get back to WWE.”

Alberto’s Suspension

Albero El Patron mentioned that GFW has set a date for him to “probably” return. He said he wouldn’t be at the live events this weekend in NY, but will be back “soon.” GFW’s next set of TV tapings start on Thursday, August 17.

“I’m going back to work soon. At this point I do not know exactly when. But I will be back soon.

“We’ve set a date for the suspension to probably be lifted. I won’t be at the live events but I’ll be back soon.”
