The Hardys had to miss WWE’s shows in Canada this week because they couldn’t clear up whether Jeff Hardy would be able to travel across the border because of a prior felony drug conviction, according to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
WWE was apparently working on resolving the issue, but weren’t able to do so in time, so he had to be pulled from the shows. However, it’s expected that the issue will be cleared up by the next time WWE travels to Canada.
Meltzer says that the original Raw script had Matt Hardy (by himself) shooting an angle with The Revival for their feud, but Scott Dawson was injured, so that was scrapped.
The plan for the SummerSlam match was apparently a three way between the Hardys, The Revival, and Gallows and Anderson. That would likely just become The Hardys vs. Gallows and Anderson.
