Bobby Roode Backstage

Bobby Roode was backstage at Raw tonight, according to PWInsider. Word is that his main roster debut is imminent.

Cruiserweight Title

Akira Tozawa winning the Cruiserweight Championship from Neville last week on Raw was decided only that afternoon, according to Wrestling Observer Radio. Neville won the title back at SummerSlam, so the Raw win was apparently just to have a title change on Raw and WWE never planned on keeping the title off of Neville.

Baron Corbin

There are rumors that Baron Corbin may have some backstage heat. Dave Meltzer speculated on Wrestling Observer Radio that it seems like WWE is “punishing” Corbin. He has been going at it with a lot of fans and other WWE wrestlers on Twitter, and rumors are that that may have rubbed some people the wrong way. I personally don’t know how much I buy that rumor, since it would seem ridiculous to bury someone so badly for acting like a heel on Twitter, but I guess you never know with WWE. It seems more likely to me that they may have just lost faith in him for now because he hasn’t really impressed much during his push. There were rumors a few months ago that WWE was grooming him for a big push and WWE Championship run this year.
