As previously reported, Global Force Wrestling recently announced Jeff Jarrett has stepped down from his role as the Chief Creative Officer of the company in order to deal with some personal issues. PWInsider reported Anthem’s Ed Nordholm made the decision due to growing backstage issues between the two and Jarrett’s antics at AAA’s TripleMania XXV being the final straw for Nordholm.
In a small update to this situation, the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer confirmed the personal aspects of PWInsider’s reports being genuine from his sources close to GFW. While Jarrett himself was unaware of the decision in advance, Meltzer reported others in the company were aware at least a week ago of Nordholm’s plans to remove Jarrett as the COO and give him all the time off needed to settle his personal issues.
