The viral infection that forced Roman Reigns off of TLC is mumps, Dave Meltzer is reporting.
It’s being said that he likely won’t be out for long and word is that he’ll be back in “a couple of weeks.” Survivor Series takes place on November 19, so he’ll likely be back by then. If WWE decides to have him wrestle on the card, the only match he would seemingly fit into would be the 5 on 5 Raw vs. SmackDown men’s match.
There is no word on Bray Wyatt or Bo Dallas yet, but all three men are scheduled to be reevaluated this coming Monday.
All Raw talent was ordered to get shots for measles, mumps and rubella on Thursday.
Via Wikipedia for mumps:
Initial signs and symptoms often include fever, muscle pain, headache, and feeling tired. This is then usually followed by painful swelling of one or both parotid salivary glands. Symptoms typically occur 16 to 18 days after exposure and resolve after seven to ten days.
Meningitis is also listed as a complication that occurs in 15% of people with mumps.
