“The Crash” Lucha Libre in Mexico announced today that Konnan, who was the head booker for the company, was no longer working with them.
In a statement, they said that it was due to him “not being able to comply to the Crash Lucha Libre code of ethic,” but no word on what exactly they’re referring to.
Konnan will be the head writer for a new lucha libre company based on Nashville, TN, called Aro Lucha, which will begin running shows next year.
The Crash posted this statement in Spanish on Twitter, and sent an English statement below to PWInsider.
