Monday’s Raw drew an average of 2,865,000 viewers, up from last week’s 2,703,000 viewers.
There was no NFL Monday Night Football game, but there were two college football playoff semi-final games, which did really well in the ratings on ESPN (25,854,000 and 20,407,000).
The college football championship game is this coming Monday (Alabama vs. Georgia), so Raw will have more competition, but after that, the numbers will probably go up.
This time last year, the January 2, 2017 Raw drew 3,047,000 viewers.
Raw was down to #10, 14 and 15 on cable in the 18-49 demographic for the night, with lots of college football stuff and VH1’s “Love and Hip Hop” ahead of it.
Hourly breakdown:
8PM: 2,969,000
9PM: 2,912,000
10PM: 2,714,000
