WWE Trademarks for New Video Game and Samoa Joe

WWE recently filed for the term “WWE Brawl” for video game purposes and also filed for the term “Samoa Joe” on March 9th but later abandoned the trademark request on March 16th.

In regards to WWE Brawl, it is currently unknown if this is for the revival of the canceled 2012 THQ project or for a completely unrelated game instead.

Updated Card for ROH’s Supercard of Honor XII Event

Ring of Honor recently announced a new match for Supercard of Honor XII event on April 7th in New Orleans. This will be a ROH World Tag Team Championship match of Hiroshi Tanahashi & Jay Lethal versus champions The Briscoes.

* ROH World Championship – Marty Scurll versus champion Dalton Castle.

Impact vs. Lucha Underground

Impact Wrestling announced that the main event match for Impact vs Lucha Underground event on April 6th in New Orleans will be revealed this Wednesday. The announcement will be made as part of a Facebook Live conference planned for 12PM EST.

5 Star Wrestling Shutting Down

United Kingdom based 5 Star Wrestling announced that they are shutting down and will refund those who purchased tickets for scheduled upcoming events. The company had been dealing with problems in recent months including talent pay issues and scheduling issues causing several events to be abruptly canceled.

New Japan Cup

New Japan Pro Wrestling will be holding the final show of this year’s New Japan Cup tournament on March 21st starting at 2AM EST. The main event will be a New Japan Cup Finals match of Hiroshi Tanahashi versus Zack Sabre Jr with the winner earning a title shot for the championship of their choosing at next month’s Sakura Genesis event.
