Talks are “back open” regarding Neville possibly returning to WWE, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Neville attempted to quit WWE in October, but WWE has so far refused to grant him his release, preventing him from working elsewhere. To make things worse, WWE is able to freeze his contract while he isn’t performing, so they could technically keep him trapped indefinitely if Vince McMahon wants to be as vindictive as possible. It’s unknown when exactly his contract is supposed to expire.
If Neville does return, the target would be some time in April, according to Dave Meltzer. However, there was also talk that WWE and Neville were talking about a possible return back in November, which ended up going nowhere.
