Tag Team Money in the Bank Match?
The idea of a Money in the Bank tag team match has been “floated around,” according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, but so far it hasn’t been announced and WWE may end up not doing it.
Two MITB ladder matches have been announced for the PPV – one men’s match and one women’s match, with both being dual-branded.
Neville Update
Neville has moved back to the UK, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. This would seem to indicate that he’s not planning on returning to WWE in the near future.
Neville reportedly asked for his release in October of last year and has not appeared on TV since.
There have been rumors since then that WWE and Neville were back in talks and trying to work something out, with the most recent rumor being in March, but nothing seems to have come of that yet.
According to Dave Meltzer, WWE has frozen Neville’s contract because he isn’t performing, so he is somehow technically trapped in a never-ending (?) contract and is unable to work for any other promotions. WWE has also reportedly refused to release him.
Raw and SmackDown Taped This Week
Raw and SmackDown will be taped from London, England this week. The tapings will start at about 2 PM ET, so there will likely be spoilers for the show a few hours before it airs.
That combined with game 1 of the NBA Western Conference Finals between the Rockets and Warriors could mean a pretty low rating for Raw.
