Authors of Pain Update
The reason that the Authors of Pain haven’t been on TV recently is because one of them as a visa issue, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via John Pollock). That issue has been cleared up, however, and they are now clear to return, but Dave Meltzer says that WWE has been holding off on bringing them back until they have something for them to get over.
WWE is currently focusing on Ziggler and McIntyre and the B Team in the tag team division and they don’t want the Authors of Pain to get lost in the shuffle and become another Ascension.
Eli Drake Contract Update
Eli Drake’s contract with Impact reportedly expired at the beginning of June, but he has now signed a short-term contract extension until July 31, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
There has reportedly been talk that WWE may be interested in bringing Drake into the company.
