Two Matches and a Contract Signing Announced for Tuesday’s SmackDown

WWE announced this Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown in Corpus Christi, Texas features two matches and a contract signing for Money in the Bank’s WWE Championship match.

The two matches announced for the show were a singles match of Charlotte Flair versus Becky Lynch and a Mixed Tag Team match of Naomi & Jimmy Uso versus Lana & Aiden English. SmackDown General Manager Paige was also announced to be the host for the official WWE Championship contract signing for Money in the Bank between Shinsuke Nakamura and champion AJ Styles.


Tyson Kidd Comments on Upcoming Anniversary of His Career-Ending Injury

Tyson Kidd recently reflected on Twitter of the upcoming three-year anniversary of his wrestling career-ending spinal injury.

Kidd suffered a spinal injury during a dark match on the June 1, 2015 episode of RAW after landing awkwardly from Samoa Joe’s Muscle Buster finisher. While his career as an active wrestler was finished, WWE gave Kidd a backstage job as an agent following his rehab from surgery.

ROH announced SANADA, EVIL, BUSHI, Hana Kimura, and Mayu Iwatani will all be appearing at their June 29th Best in the World pay-per-view event and their June 30th ROH TV tapings.

Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) announced Rey Fenix will be making his official debut for the company at their June 8th event in Mexico City, Mexico. Fenix will be teaming up with Mistico & Caristico in a Six-Man Tag Team match against Ultimo Guerrero, Negro Casas, & Cavernario.

During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Kazuchika Okada was asked a question about who he feels are currently the top three wrestlers in the world today. Okada mentioned Kenny Omega, Tetsuya Naito, and Will Ospreay as his choices.

Kenny, [Tetsuya] Naito, and [Will] Ospreay. Aside from myself, those three are what makes NJPW the best promotion in the world.
