Juice Robinson Says He “Ain’t Ever Going Back” to WWE

It was reported yesterday that WWE has “great interest” in NJPW’s current IWGP United States Champion, Juice Robinson. Robinson was previously signed to a WWE developmental contract in 2011 and wrestled in NXT as CJ Parker until 2015, when he requested his release.

At a press conference after yesterday’s NJPW G1 Climax show, Robinson “cut a promo” about the WWE rumors, saying this:

“Fast forward three years, WWE and NXT and all this shit. Everything that you guys constantly ask me about, I know because that’s what we talk about. We talk about WWE. But that’s in the rearview mirror now and guess what, I ain’t going back. I ain’t ever going back. It’s okay, because guys like Cody Rhodes, guys like Kenny Omega, more guys like that, Will Ospreay. Big stars. Big ‘independent’ stars. No, independent? You can take that and you can shove it up your ass. They’re stars, baby. Because I might not be a star yet, but I’m getting there. So titles do matter, and I’m doing my damndest to make myself a star.”
