Ric Flair underwent successful surgery today to reverse an ileostomy procedure, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet (via Flair’s fiancée, Wendy Barlow).
An ileostomy is when part of the small intestine is diverted to an artificial hole in the abdomen to drain body waste. The surgery was in order to reverse the procedure and close the opening. The procedure was done during Flair’s health scare last summer, where he was hospitalized and underwent surgery for a bowel obstruction.
Today’s surgery went exactly as Flair had hoped, Pro Wrestling Sheet says, and he’s expected to be released from the hospital by the end of the week.
Thank you for the prayers and messages 🙏🏻 Dad is doing GREAT!!
