Brock Lesnar’s Return: When He’ll Likely Be Wrestling, How Much He’s Being Paid

Brock Lesnar made his WWE “return” last night at Hell in a Cell and as of now, the plan is for him to wrestle at least one more match at WWE’s upcoming, still unannounced show in Saudi Arabia on November 2, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio. It would either be a three way match with Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman or he may just wrestle Reigns again.

Meltzer also reported in MMA Fighting that Brock Lesnar’s pay for his (presumably two) matches in Saudi Arabia “is believed to be well into the seven figures.”

WWE has not released the amount of money they are being paid by Saudi Arabia to run their propaganda shows, but it’s believed that the Greatest Royal Rumble amount was somewhere in the range of $45 million, based on the increase in WWE’s financial statement for that quarter in the category that the show fell under, Meltzer says. So WWE has a lot of money to throw around and each show generates more money than even WrestleMania.

This Lesnar return has been in the works for a while, according to Meltzer, so it wasn’t a last minute decision. It was also reported that the non-finish in the Hell in a Cell match was always the plan.

Lesnar is still reportedly planning on returning to the UFC, according to sources close to him, and has been training for a fight and has rejoined the USADA testing pool, but an official deal with the UFC has not been signed yet.
