With the apparent departure of Brock Lesnar for now, Paul Heyman has taken on a behind the scenes role in WWE and has been working backstage at TV shows in recent weeks, according to PWInsider.
No word on what exactly his role has been. He was involved in the writing/creative for segments and matches involving Brock Lesnar, but now that Lesnar is gone, there’s no word on if he’s still doing anything as part of the writing team. Heyman was the head writer on SmackDown from July 2012 until February 2013.
There has also been talk of possibly giving Heyman an on-screen role while Lesnar is out.
