Pentagon appeared to address rumors that he’s WWE-bound at a PCW Ultra show last night in Los Angeles, CA.
Speaking to the crowd after his match, he said, “Respect that I am the PCW Champ and no one is going to take that from me. Thank you very much. And before I forget, I am not going anywhere. Penta will be in PCW for many more years.”
It has been reported that WWE is interested in signing Pentagon and his brother Rey Fenix and has made “overtures” to them.
Major League Wrestling, where the Lucha Bros are the tag team champions, also tweeted yesterday, “It’s been an incredible 2018 for the #LuchaBros! And a monumental moment is on the horizon for @ReyFenixMx and @PENTAELZEROM as we hear what 2019 holds for them. MLW fans may be shocked to see what’s nxt!” If the Lucha Bros have decided to not go to WWE (and stay with MLW), that tweet seems to make more sense.
Pentagon and Fenix also reportedly still have three seasons left on their contracts with Lucha Underground, but Lucha Underground said before the start of this past season that wrestlers who request their releases would have them granted once they’re able to be written out of storylines.
