Raw falls on New Year’s Eve this year and rather than making everyone work that night, WWE will tape the show on Friday, December 28 instead.
The Little Caesars Arena in Detroit announced it as a “special Friday edition” of Raw, but the assumption is that it would be taped on Friday and air on Monday, though that’s not 100% confirmed.

Christmas eve is also a Monday this year, so we’ll see what WWE does with that. Last year, WWE aired Raw live on Christmas day and New Year’s eve, drawing some criticism.
