Beyond Wrestling Announces Potential End of Wrestling Open RI Brand

Beyond Wrestling announced earlier today on Twitter that they will be shutting down their Wrestling Open RI brand this December unless attendance for events or sponsor revenue picks up.

It was announced that if the situation does not improve, then Beyond Wrestling will be holding their final Wrestling Open RI show on December 28 in Cranston, Rhode Island.

“Full transparency: Our contract with Rhodes On The Pawtuxet in Cranston runs until the end of 2026 and, as of this writing, unless we see a strong increase in attendance on Monday nights, 12/28/26 will be the final weekly Wrestling Open RI event. The month of November will be treated as an evaluation period. If you like what we do, please tell someone you know, bring your friends, and share our social media posts promoting the events. If you are interested in sponsoring our series, email beyondwrestling@gmail.com and I can provide you with detailed information. There is a chance that even if attendance doesn’t increase, we will still be able to negotiate a new rental agreement for 2027. Thank you to everyone that supports independent wrestling, and especially our events in Rhode Island. Tonight marks episode 73 of Wrestling Open RI. Rhodes On The Pawtuxet in Cranston is the nicest venue we’ve ever run with the most fan amenities I’ve ever come across. It would be a shame to let it slip away, especially while the state continues to throw millions of dollars to bring new sports to the area. We are the home team.”
