Pentagon and Fenix
As mentioned, WWE has been very interested in signing the Lucha Bros, Pentagon and Fenix, but at least for now, they don’t appear to be going anywhere.
They are still locked into contracts with Lucha Underground, but they would be able to go anywhere after the current season ends, which would be some time early next year, though they also could have a non-compete period after that.
At last week’s TV tapings for Major League Wrestling in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, there was an angle based around the rumors that they were WWE-bound. Via Dave Meltzer:
On the MLW tapings, Salina de la Renta, their estranged manager said that she was with “Hunter” all week and offered to get them a deal to go to WWE, where she would enroll them in English classes, probably have them rebranded with new names and where they would learn a safer arsenal of moves. Obviously that was a total insider angle. Konnan then pleaded with them not to go. Penta and Fenix ripped up the “contracts” and the live crowd did a “F*** Hunter” and “Please don’t go” chant.
Killer Kross
WWE and NJPW are both interested in Killer Kross, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He’s currently in Impact in a stable with Austin Aries and Moose.
