In-Ring: Triple H, Shawn Michaels

We go live into the arena, and Triple H’s music hits to a big reception. The WWE COO makes his way to the ring wearing his trademark leather jacket and black pants, meaning we are seeing “The Game,” and not the corporate version of Triple H. Shawn Michaels’ music hits, and he comes to the ring not dancing at all. Both men look very severe. Triple H says 25 years is a long time, but you climb the mountain and eventually get there. On Saturday at Melbourne, Australia, they made it to the summit of the mountain. The avalanche that fell on them after they made it to the top of that mountain has them questioning whether that mountain was a lie the entire time.

Video Package: Triple H defeats Undertaker at WWE Super Show-Down. After the match, Undertaker and Kane posed with Triple H and Shawn Michaels before attacking them. Undertaker gave Triple H a Tombstone Piledriver before chokeslamming HBK through the commentary table.

Triple H says respect is a word that’s lost it’s significance recently. Respect is something you give to a person that took you under their wing from day one because they saw something special in you. Respect is fighting together all over the world. Michaels nods in agreement. Respect is when you stick to your word even when everyone tells you not to.

Michaels says sometimes you respect people for what they used to be, but eventually you sometimes lose that respect. It’s a long way from Australia to Chicago. A long way to think about the beat down they took at Super Show-Down, and it is a long time to sit and think about the last eight and a half years. Eight and a half long years that he has sat and honored his word out of respect that never existed at all. Triple H recently asked him a question that he thought he’d never hear again: “Are you ready?” Triple H says the question isn’t for Shawn because he knows he is. The question is for Undertaker and Kane: The Brothers of Destruction. Triple H says, “Crown Jewel, the question is: Are you ready?” Michaels says D-Generation X is ready! Michaels says he says this with absolutely no respect at all: “If you’re not down with that, we’ve got two words for ya!” Triple H and Shawn Michaels remove their regular shirts and reveal DX shirts before posing on the turnbuckles.

In-Ring: Elias

“Ladies and gentlemen… Elias.” Elias strums a chord, and the crowd is delighted to see him. Elias greets the crowd and plucks a riff out. When Triple H, Shawn Michaels or any other legend talks about WWE, they’re talking about him. One man who knows this is John Cena. John Cena knows deep in his heart what everyone here knows, and that is that WWE stands for Walk With Elias. Elias says they know him. He is always willing to admit when he’s wrong, but the circumstances that led to what happened in Australia is not his fault. Elias wrote a song about it and asks them to silence their cellphones, hold the applause, and shut their mouths.

“Lost in Australia, but honestly it wasn’t fair. I was distracted by many things, most of all John Cena’s hair. When I heard those Australian accents, I almost refused to do the show. When I thought things couldn’t get much worse, they send me to Chicago. Australian food was so gross, oh man I thought I caught a disease, but I feel better knowing the Cubs won’t be in the World Series.” That last line got LOUD boos.

Tonight they’ll put down The Shield for good, and he doesn’t want to hear any excuses out of them.

They’re here to see a fight, legalized buggery. He’s here to see a rematch with The Shield taking on Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, and Drew McIntyre. Heyman finds it ironic that 72 hours ago, Reigns and Strowman beat the high-holy living crap out of each other in Australia. Both had to fly a 20 hour plane flight just to appear in Chicago and do it all over again for their enjoyment. That’s what we do in World Wrestling Entertainment. 7 days a week and twice on Sunday. They beat the hell out of each other just to put smiles on the faces of the WWE Universe. Meanwhile tonight in Suplex City, his client is not watching this promo because he’s sleeping in his own bed this evening. Lesnar will wake up tomorrow and run to his training camp to continue being a two sport athlete. Heyman doesn’t care about anyone else except himself, which is why on November 2 at WWE Crown Jewel live from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he’ll tell them the result: your winner and once again the reigning, defending, undisputed Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar.
