WWE is trying to get The Rock to appear at their SmackDown 1000 show on October 16 in Washington, DC, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
SmackDown was named after one of Rock’s “catch phrases,” so it would obviously make sense to have him on if they can get him. For now, nothing’s official and it could depend on The Rock’s busy schedule. He just started shooting the upcoming Fast and Furious spinoff, Hobbs and Shaw this week in London.
Announced for SmackDown 1000 so far: Batista, Ric Flair, the Undertaker, Michelle McCool, Torrie Wilson, Teddy Long and Vickie Guerrero.
Also rumored are Rey Mysterio and Edge.
