Tegan Nox was originally booked to beat Toni Storm in the finals of this year’s Mae Young Classic, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Nox unfortunately suffered a terrible knee injury on a suicide dive in her quarterfinals match against Rhea Ripley. The match was stopped and Ripley advanced to the semi-finals, where she lost to Io Shirai.
Toni Storm went on to defeat Io Shirai in the finals at Evolution this past Sunday.
