The Elite’s Indies Status Update

Hangman Page is reported to have recently turned down a new contract offer from ROH, according to this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Dave Meltzer reported that Cody and The Young Bucks also have yet to sign new deals with ROH and the current belief is The Elite as a whole are still unlikely to make a final decision regarding their future prior to January 2019.

Meltzer also reported that the group currently has a very favorable view of New Japan Pro Wrestling and would like to work more for the company in 2019. The group also wants to maintain a similar level of creative freedom as they currently enjoy in ROH as the goal for any new deal, which could rule out WWE as a future home. Meltzer did state that if WWE were to offer some creative freedom and/or also let them continue their Being The Elite show, the group could end up favoring WWE as their new home.
