Raw will end at exactly 11 PM ET starting next week, according to a report by Fightful, which was confirmed by WWE sources to Dave Meltzer.
The report says that this was likely a call by USA Network. SmackDown already has a hard “out” time of 10 PM ET.
The Raw overrun began in the 90s during the “Monday night wars” against WCW Nitro as each show tried to gain an advantage by going longer. With no more competition and Raw’s third hour declining in ratings, it’s certainly not as necessary today.
