Last week, it was reported that WWE originally planned on having Natalya eventually turn on Ronda Rousey. However, her father Jim Neidhart died and WWE felt that they couldn’t turn her heel anymore at the time, so the Rousey / Natalya “friendship” was abruptly dropped and they didn’t appear together on TV for over two months.
Last week on Raw, WWE seemed to bring back the friendship angle when they had Natalya run in to try to help Rousey.
On tonight’s Raw, there’s a tag match scheduled with Rousey & Natalya taking on Nia Jax and Tamina. It’ll be interesting to see if WWE will continue with their original plan to have Natalya turn on Rousey. If it does happen, though, there would only be four women faces on Raw (Rousey, Bayley, Sasha Banks, Ember Moon) and ten heels.
