Mickie James Breaks a WWE RAW Women’s Record

Mickie James broke a new women’s record in WWE RAW history this week, according to WWE Stats & Info.

After competing in the 8-Woman Gauntlet match during this week’s episode of RAW, James broke the all-time record for the most women’s matches wrestled in WWE RAW history. The previous record was stated to have been held by Trish Stratus.

WWE Network Hidden Gems Addition; Another AWA Christmas Themed Classic

Thursday’s addition to the WWE Network’s Hidden Gems series is once again American Wrestling Association themed, featuring one classic event.

This gem is from the near-complete December 25, 1984 event from AWA featuring an AWA World Heavyweight Championship match of Jimmy Garvin vs. Rick Martel (c). This event is notable in wrestling history for taking place under the Pro Wrestling USA banner, which was AWA’s attempted partnership with Memphis Wrestling in order to fight off against WWF’s aggressive national expansion at the time.
