Luke Perry, wrestling fan and father of AEW’s Jungle Boy, died today at age 52. He suffered what was called a “massive stroke” last Wednesday and never recovered.
He died this morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank, CA, according to TMZ.
Perry was a big supporter of his son Jungle Boy’s wrestling career and was frequently in attendance at indie shows where he would perform.
Despite his father’s stroke just two days prior, Jungle Boy wrestled at PWG Two Hundred on Friday night, defeating Jake Atlas and Trey Miguel.

1st got to meet Luke when Dad brought him backstage at wcw. The highlight of my match in the cow palace was him coming back to tell us we did a good job. Blessed to have the chance to talk to him recently about his son. He was part of our wrestling family & will be sorely missed
