Allie Impact Wrestling Status Update

As noted before, All Elite Wrestling announced that they have recently signed Allie to a contract with the company. PWInsider reported that Allie’s contract with Impact Wrestling expired at the end of 2018 although she continued working for the company till last month’s set of television tapings.

In an update to Allie’s Impact Wrestling status, Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that tonight’s episode of Impact! will be Allie’s final appearance in the company and she will not be appearing at this weekend’s set of Impact! tapings in Windsor, Canada. Meltzer also reported that Impact officials told Allie in January that they would not be signing her to a new contract and that this decision was due to Impact’s plans to freshen up their roster for this year.


Shayna Baszler and MMA Horsewomen NXT Status Update

WWE reportedly is considering plans to split up the group of Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir, and Jessamyn Duke within the near future, according to the Wrestling Observer.

Dave Meltzer reported that there have been recent talks within NXT of splitting up the group with Baszler being promoted to the main roster on her own and Marina Shafir being added as the newest member of the Undisputed Era. In regards to Jessamyn Duke, Meltzer reported that she would be pushed as a singles wrestler and would no longer be associated with Shafir.


Keith Lee Suffers Unknown Injury

Keith Lee reportedly has recently suffered an unknown injury, according to the Wrestling Observer.

No other details regarding the nature of the injury nor how long Lee will be out of action was given.

Starrcast announced the full schedule of events for their Starrcast II convention from May 23-26 at the Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) reportedly held discussions with Madison Square Garden officials this past week regarding plans to hold an event at the historic venue in Fall 2019, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

NJPW reportedly is currently considering plans to hold a major event in Melbourne, Australia as early as this summer, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

ROH announced a new match for the card of their March 31st Road to G1 Supercard: Baltimore event in Baltimore, Maryland:
– ROH World Tag Team Championship – The Briscoes (Jay & Mark Briscoe) vs. Villain Enterprises (PCO & Brody King) (c)
