Ronda Rousey WWE Status Update

As noted before, Ronda Rousey reportedly will be be taking a break from WWE shortly after WrestleMania 35 next month.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Rousey’s final date with the company is still expected to take place at the April 8th episode of WWE RAW. At the moment, Rousey is not scheduled for any shows beyond that date nor any house show events after March 17th.

Meltzer added that the exact date is up to Rousey and she has yet to make an official decision on when her break will start, but WWE officials are under the current assumption it will be after April 8th and the plan as of now was for her feud against Becky Lynch to end either at WrestleMania 35 or the night after on RAW.

Lars Sullivan Health Update

As noted before, Lars Sullivan has been on an indefinite leave of absence from WWE since suffering anxiety-related health issues in January.

Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin reported that Sullivan is currently “in a good place” after seeking professional help for his mental health issues since his anxiety attack. Satin also reported that WWE has been very supportive of Sullivan throughout his ordeal but at the moment, they are still unsure when he will be able to return to the company.

WWE Network Hidden Gems Addition

This week’s addition to WWE Network’s Hidden Gems series is National Cereal Day themed, featuring one classic event.

This gem is the entire May 1, 1989 event from All American Wrestling and was held under a unique concept. WWENetworkNews reported that this event was basically just an hour long commercial for Kellogg’s cereal, the event’s sponsor, and featured four matches pitting babyface wrestlers representing Kellogg’s cereal against heel wrestlers representing General Mills cereal.
