Dana White Says a Brock Lesnar UFC Fight Is Not in the Works and May Not Happen

The Brock Lesnar UFC roller coaster continued today with UFC president Dana White now saying that a proposed Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Cormier UFC fight may not even happen after all.

At a UFC press conference in Atlanta, White said, “Seriously, that fight isn’t even in the works. That might not even happen first [for Cormier].”

The crowd groaned and booed and White said, “I know, that’s what Cormier said too.”

“Nothing happened [with Lesnar]. That was what we wanted to do, but Brock and I haven’t even talked. Like I’ve said many times, when Brock Lesnar is ready, he’ll call me,” White said. “I don’t know if he’ll fight again, but we don’t have a date for him right now.”

He also said that Cormier’s first title defense may be against former UFC Champ Stipe Miocic.

There were rumors that there were plans being made for a Lesnar vs. Cormier fight in August, with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani saying that Lesnar wants to fight and UFC wants him to fight, and August was the working plan.
