Rey Mysterio suffered a separated shoulder at Money in the Bank last night, WWE announced on Raw. The injury is legit, according to PWInsider, and it happened at some point when Samoa Joe was beating down Mysterio after the match.
There’s no word on how long Mysterio will be out, but WWE also announced that we will find out the “state of the United States Championship” next week on Raw. That would seem to imply that Mysterio may have to vacate it due to injury. Samoa Joe also cut a promo telling Mysterio to “do the right thing” and hand him “his” United States title since Joe’s shoulders were not on the mat when Mysterio pinned him last night. So WWE could just be addressing the controversy from the match.
