WWE announced today via William Regal that Adam Cole will defend his NXT Championship against Johnny Gargano again at NXT TakeOver: Toronto next month.
Regal said that to settle this “once and for all,” it will be a 2-out-of-3-falls match where each wrestler gets to pick a stipulation for a fall. If it goes to three falls, William Regal will pick the third stipulation.
This is the first official match announced for TakeOver, which will take place on SummerSlam weekend, Saturday, August 10 at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
Below is what the NXT TakeOver card looks like based on last month’s NXT tapings, so don’t read ahead if you don’t want spoilers.
