Raw: Paul Heyman’s Influence on Last Night’s Show, Corey Graves Saying “Holy Sh*t”

Paul Heyman

Last night’s Raw was essentially Paul Heyman’s first show in charge.

Heyman’s “fingerprints were all over this show” and “most of the stuff went through him,” according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.

The people in charge of the Raw production meeting were still Vince McMahon and writer Ed Koskey and they were the ones doing most of the talking, Meltzer says. And ultimately, everything still had to go through and be approved by Vince.

Both Vince and Paul Heyman were in the gorilla position together for most of the show, according to PWInsider.

Corey Graves

Corey Graves dropped a “holy shit” on commentary when Braun Strowman drove Bobby Lashley through the LED wall in the opening segment of Raw.

The line was scripted into the show, according to Dave Meltzer, which is pretty obvious since Raw has a 20-30 delay and the line could have easily been bleeped if it wasn’t supposed to be there. It was clearly thrown in to try to make the show seem more “edgy.”

There are no FCC rules against cursing on cable TV, but most shows/networks choose not to do it in order to be “family friendly” for advertisers.
