Trish Stratus is in talks with WWE to return for a match at SummerSlam, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet.
Nothing has been confirmed yet, but word is that she will wrestle a current wrestler in Trish’s hometown of Toronto at SummerSlam on August 11.
Charlotte Flair cut a promo backstage at SmackDown tonight saying that she’s the reason why women’s wrestling is where it is today and demanding to be on SummerSlam, then said that she will wrestle someone “better than Ember Moon” at the show. So if Trish does return, a match against Charlotte would probably be a pretty good guess.
Trish last appeared on WWE TV on the October 29, 2018 Raw in a ten-woman tag match, where Trish, Lita, Bayley, Sasha Banks & Natalya defeated Alicia Fox, Mickie James & The Riott Squad. She also wrestled at the Evolution PPV the night before, teaming with Lita to defeat Alicia Fox & Mickie James.
Update
Dave Meltzer reported that the Trish vs. Charlotte match is set for SummerSlam and was “confirmed by WWE sources.”
