Update: Big Time Wrestling announced that Fenix is apparently fine and will be wrestling at their show tonight in Enfield, CT.
Original story:
Fenix suffered some sort of leg injury last night during a match for Big Time Wrestling in Pawtucket, RI, just a week from AEW All Out.
Fenix was teaming with Pentagon Jr to face Teddy Hart and Juventud Guerrera. Fenix picked up Guerrera then collapsed and grabbed his leg, rolled out of the ring and asked for help from the back, then was helped backstage. In the ring, the match was very quickly ended with Juventud pinning Pentagon, who then went backstage to check on Fenix.
According to Dave Meltzer, Fenix was able to walk on the leg, but it was weak, and he was hopeful that it was just a sprain and nothing serious. More tests will be done to determine the extent of the injury.
Fenix said that he felt like he would still be able to wrestle at All Out this Saturday, where the Lucha Bros are scheduled to defend the AAA Tag Team titles against the Young Bucks in a ladder match.
Fenix having to miss the match could be another potential major blow for All Out. Jon Moxley announced yesterday that he was forced to pull out of All Out due to an MRSA infection in his elbow.
